Trademark Class 6 Overview

Class 6 primarily encompasses raw and partially processed common metals, including ores, and certain articles crafted from these metals.
This classification includes various items such as metals in foil or powder form for further processing, metal building materials like railway tracks, pipes, and tubes, as well as small metal hardware items like bolts, screws, nails, furniture casters, and window fasteners. Additionally, transportable metal buildings or structures such as prefabricated houses, swimming pools, cages for animals, and skating rinks fall under this class. Certain dispensing apparatus made of metal, whether automatic or non-automatic, such as towel dispensers, queue ticket dispensers, and dispensers for dog waste bags, are also included. Goods made of common metals, not classified by specific function or purpose, like all-purpose metal boxes and metal statues or works of art, are part of Class 6.

However, it’s crucial to note that Class 6 excludes certain items. These exclusions include metals and ores used as chemicals, metals in foil and powder form for artistic purposes, specific dispensing apparatus classified by function or purpose (e.g., industrial fluid dispensing machines, electronic ticket dispensers, medical dosage dispensers, adhesive tape dispensers), electric cables, non-electric cables and ropes not made of metal, pipes for sanitary installations, flexible pipes and hoses not made of metal, rigid pipes not made of metal, cages for household pets, and certain metal goods classified according to their function or purpose (e.g., hand tools, paper clips, furniture, kitchen utensils, household containers).
